- Posts must be at least 100 words long. Out of Character speech, and the code that creates posting tables, does not count. (100 words is relative; quality over quantity!)
- Be literate; use proper grammar and conventions. (Hint: take advantage of that spell check button on the posting page!) Chat speak is not permitted.
- No God-moding or Power-playing. God-moding is if your character never gets injured, or cannot die. Power-playing is taking control of other people's characters, and it can be as small a thing as saying your character injured another person's character.
An example of God-moding:
User1: Yellowpelt slashed at Bigfang, aiming for his flank.
User2: Bigfang dodged away, smirking.
User1: Yellowpelt bared her teeth in fustration and snapped at Bigfang's leg.
User2: Bigfang casually lifted his leg out of Yellowfang's reach.
User1: Yellowfang moved closer to Bigfang and kicked out, hoping to wind him.
User2: Bigfang jumped out of the way, still smiling.
So what User2 is doing is God-moding. No, your character doesn't have to get hit by every blow another character aims at them, but keep it realistic and fair for the other person and their character.
An example of Power-Playing:
Cutegirl: Fangheart yowled and bowled Inkeye over.
Ink: Inkeye got up and ran at Fangheart, raking her claws along his flanks.
Cutegirl: Fangheart growled and grabbed Inkheart by the throat, biting down hard. Inkheart's blood was everywhere, and soon she lay dead on the ground.
So, both Cutegirl and Ink were Power-playing, basically taking control of the other person's character.
- No posting on more than one thread in one Clan, unless no one has posted on sed thread in more than a day. Keep in mind days and times: On a Gathering Thread, if you are not a Warrior when you begin, but in a thread after the Gathering you become a Warrior, you're still an Apprentice in the Gathering.
- Look at all the other posts before making a new thread in Clan territory or camp. This is to avoid having more than a couple active threads with the same cats in each of them.
Enter loyalty as the password for the character creation page.
Bad Roleplay Example:
bananakit smiled okay thank you ribbonleaf said bananakit he walked back to the nursery.
Good Roleplay Example:
Bananakit smiled fondly at the Warrior. "Okay, thank you, Ribbonleaf," he said. The little kit turned and walked back to the nursery.
† Some members post with "bolded quotes" and italicized thoughts. Please remember to define speech from action somehow.
