Battle Of The Brave (Braveheart's death scene)

Sunkit shifted her paws meaninglessly, then padded back to the nursery.

Sabrepaw watched the kit go, then settled back down, his face buried in his mother's soft fur. He remembered when he had been a tiny kit. Things had been so much simpler then. The bengal tabby lay there, the sky darkening as the day ended. He scrambled up suddenly, for he could feel his mother's heart beating. Bravheheart opened her eyes and began to stand. Sabrepaw escorted her to her nest, too happy to say anything. Ehen she was settled, he meowed, "I'll bring you some water." Then he sped off to the river, found a huge wad of moss, dipped it in the water, and ran back to camp. Braveheart was resting comfortably in her nest, and drank the water gratefully. Sabrepaw brought her a vole, and she ate it quickly. He got a fish for himself and devoured it. Then they curled up, his body tucked into the curve of her belly, and they fell asleep.

OOC: BWAHAHAHAHA!! I tricked all of you!! She never actually died!!
